Top tips for your HITO Apprentice of the Year entry!

Entering the HITO Apprentice of the Year awards is a great way to reflect on your journey towards becoming 100% Qualified.  

Check out some of our top entry tips below: 

Get creative! 

From written submissions, videos, books, websites and more, the options for presenting your entry are endless! The judges want to see your creativity in your entry.

Make sure written entries are no longer than 1500 words, video entries are no longer than 5 minutes, and all entries are accessible for judging.  

Share your story 

Create your entry and answer the questions from your perspective – show and tell the judges why YOU should be an Apprentice of the Year! 

Don’t forget your entry form! 

Remember: all entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form for your region – you can download yours here. 

Check the criteria 

Make sure your entry answers all the questions listed on the entry form, and includes your two written references.

These can be from your employer, clients, Off-Job Training tutors, or someone else who knows you well. 

Get your entry in early!
