The Ministry of Regulation is currently conducting a regulatory review for the hairdressing and barbering industry.
The review is looking at regulations that date back to 1980, and whether these are still fit-for-purpose. The review will make sure there is good reason to regulate hairdressing and barbering and make recommendations for changes to the current requirements.
The Ministry of Regulation would like to hear feedback from hairdressing and barbering business owners and professionals to ensure industry voices are heard. Submissions close 31 January 2025.
