HITO Expo Experience Promotion 2026

Introduction  

By participating in the promotional draw, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. The promotional draw is being run by HITO.

Eligibility to Enter 

1.1. Barber

The Barber promotional draw is open to employers in New Zealand’s barbering industries, who are training an apprentice with HITO.

To be eligible to enter the promotional draw, you must have an apprentice in a continuing HITO Training Agreement by 3 March 2026. Each apprentice in a continuing training agreement by this date equals one entry.

1.2 Hair

The Hair promotional draw is open to employers in New Zealand’s hair industries, who are training an apprentice with HITO.

To be eligible to enter the promotional draw, you must have an apprentice in a continuing HITO Training Agreement by 27 March 2026. Each apprentice in a continuing training agreement by this date equals one entry.

1.3 Beauty

The Beauty promotional draw is open to employers in New Zealand’s beauty therapy industries, who are training an apprentice with HITO.

To be eligible to enter the promotional draw, you must have an apprentice in a continuing HITO Training Agreement by 27 April 2026. Each apprentice in a continuing training agreement by this date equals one entry.

Information provided in the HITO Training Agreement must be true, current and complete, and all Terms and Conditions of the HITO Training Agreement must be met by the employer and apprentice.

The apprentice(s) associated with your entry(s) must be employed and in a continuing HITO Training Agreement with you at the time of the winner draw and announcement.

The promotional draw is open to New Zealand citizens, residents or valid work visa holders aged over 18 years of age. HITO employees and associates are excluded from the draw.

By entering the promotional draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you.

Winners and Prizes

2.1 Barber

One winner will receive a professional development prize pack of:

• 2x weekend passes to Expo4Barbers, valued at $710 NZD each ($1,420 total) and optional 2x tickets to compete in the Barber battle $118 NZD each ($236 total) and 2 x tool kits worth $600 AUD
• 1x $2000 Flight Centre voucher to go towards travel and accommodation for the winner and their plus one to attend

2.2 Hair

One winner will receive a professional development prize pack of:

• 2x all access passes, valued at $519 AUD each ($1038 total)
• 1x $2000 Flight Centre voucher to go towards travel and accommodation for the winner and their plus one to attend

2.3 Beauty

One winner will receive a professional development prize pack of:

• 2x 2-day conference passes, valued at $285 AUD each ($570 total)
• 1x $2000 Flight Centre voucher to go towards travel and accommodation for the winner and their plus one to attend

All three of the prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable to other people, non-redeemable as cash and non-exchangeable for cash.

If a prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable, HITO reserves the right to amend the prizes at its own and sole discretion, including providing the winner with a substitute prize.

HITO’s decision on any aspect of the promotion is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

Winner Draw and Announcement

The winner will be chosen at random. The Barber winner will be drawn on 4 March 2026. The Hair winner will be drawn on 30 March 2026.  The Beauty winner will be drawn on 28 April 2026.

HITO will attempt to contact and notify the winner via the business email address and/or phone number provided in the training agreement.

If the winner does not respond to HITO informing them of their win within 4 days of the second contact attempt, they forfeit their right to the prize, and HITO reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.

The winner’s name and business may be announced on HITO’s website, newsletter, and social media channels.

Collection of Prize

Once the winner has been successfully contacted, the prize will be transferred from HITO to the winner via email.

Once the prize has been claimed by the winner, they are solely responsible for booking travel and accommodation and arranging their attendance of the expo.

Data Protection and Publicity

You agree that any personal information that you provide when entering the promotional draw will be used by HITO for the purposes of administering the promotion and for the other purposes as specified in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

HITO accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of participating in the promotional draw or being selected for a prize.

General

HITO reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel the promotional draw or amend these terms and conditions.

HITO will ask for video footage taken at the event to be shared with them to use for profiling and advertising purposes.

After the event, HITO will profile the winner about their experience, including about what they learned and gained from attending an international industry expo.
