Sara Allsop is a highly respected figure in New Zealand’s hairdressing industry, renowned for her leadership, creativity, and dedication to the industry’s growth. As co-owner and founder of Dharma Salons, as well as the Industry Event and NZ Hairdressing Awards, Sara plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of New Zealand’s hairdressing landscape.

With a career spanning over 25 years, Sara is a qualified educator with extensive experience in both training in salon and as a platform artist in New Zealand as well as on international stages including Salon International London and Hair Expo Australia.

Sara has earned her reputation as one of the country’s premier Editorial and Session Stylists. She has established strong relationships with leading fashion magazines and designers, which has helped propel her to the forefront of the industry. Her talent and expertise have been recognized with multiple awards, including three-time Hair Expo NZ Hairdresser of the Year.

Her international experience is equally impressive, working each season at major fashion weeks in New York, London, Paris, and Milan, and collaborating with world-renowned hair artists such as Luigi Murenu, Guido Palau, Anthony Turner, and Tina Outen. Sara has also been at the helm of New Zealand Fashion Week shows since 2005, further solidifying her place as a global leader in the hairdressing industry.

Jock Robson

Jock Robson is a distinguished industry mentor, photographer, and stylist who has significantly contributed to the New Zealand and international hairdressing scene. As co-owner and founder of Dharma Salons and the Industry Event & NZ Hairdressing Awards, Jock is deeply committed to advancing the craft of hairdressing in New Zealand and nurturing the next generation of talented professionals.

Jock has been recognized for his exceptional skills and vision, having been ranked in the top ten globally for Commercial Stylist of the Year on two occasions. He has worked backstage at major international fashion weeks, collaborating with renowned designers and hair artists. His photographic work has graced the pages of fashion publications globally, with notable features in Garage Magazine, as well as a wide array of international and national fashion and hairdressing outlets.

With 20 years of experience as a qualified educator, Jock has provided training and consultation to the New Zealand hairdressing industry, empowering countless professionals. His innovative work has garnered recognition in prestigious competitions such as Hair Expo Australia, AIPP Award, Wella Trend Vision, LOréal Colour Trophy, Kérastase Colour Trophy, and Joico Innovision, among others.

A passionate photographer, Jock has shot in top fashion capitals including New York, Barcelona, Berlin, London, and Australia. He also specializes in producing photographic collections for the Dharma team, industry clients, and fellow hairdressers.

Mana Dave

Founder and Creative Director, BLAZE and Pony Professionnel

Mana Dave is an award-winning NZ hairstylist with an established high profile salon brand BLAZE in Newmarket Auckland. With a career spanning 25 years and an ongoing commitment to both education and competition work, he has become a well-respected stylist in the New Zealand hair industry.

Mana has represented the NZ industry on stage internationally as a Redken Platform Artist throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Competitively he’s showcased the talent of kiwi hairdressers winning the top prize as the winner of the coveted International Trend Vision Platinum Award Colour 2017 in London, with a silver medal the year earlier in Barcelona.

Having taken out a number of Hairdresser of the Year and Haircolourist of the Year titles, Mana has channelled those successes into his education platforms to encourage other hairdressers to unlock their own potential.

Currently he is working as a mentor within both the L’Oreal brands and also Industry NZ to help elevate our new crop of kiwi talent.
